Sean is a genius. I have been struggling with Achilles tendinitis for over a decade. Way too many long runs. I love running so much and thought that I will never be able to run again like I did in my 30s, 40s and early 50s. Last summer it was so bad that I was reduced to jogging, then walking for 3 min on, 3 off, and so forth. As of a month ago, the farthest I could go without pain was an easy 5.5 mile jog. Anything farther or faster would reaggravate and I would be out for months. A PT told me about "dry needling" and I found Sean, who told me that it was part of his acupuncture practice. I had 2 treatments in mid-December and a week later was running 8- and 9-mile long mountainous trail runs with no pain. I returned for an additional session in late December and 4 days later ran 14 miles pain free. That's the longest pain-free run I've had in years! Then today, I did my normal 5.5-mile run but at the fastest pace I've run in a few years. Still no pain! Sean is a genius and a magician. Next appointment is tomorrow. I'm hoping to get back to ultras by this summer--with Sean's help.

I would highly recommend Dr. Sean Davis to any runner or athlete struggling with pain or injury of any kind. I am a D1 cross country and track athlete that has plantar fibroma (thickening of my plantar fascia) that causes pain/discomfort while running or doing daily activities. It was something I thought I would have to deal with for the rest of my time as a competitive runner. This summer, after my second acupuncture appointment with Dr. Davis my foot pain was gone. During my cross country season this fall at San Diego State I rolled my ankle on a rock and flared up my plantar fascia. I thought I would be out for the rest of the season but I made a few visits to Dr. Davis and two weeks later I ran the 2nd fastest 6k in school history. I cannot recommend San Diego Sports Acupuncture enough!!!

Uzi is awesome! I had a low back injury, perhaps a bulging disc, resulting in a severe antalgic gait. I saw him 1x/wk for about 8 weeks and it is dramatically better and life became manageable again after about 2 visits. His focus on deep muscle needling is unique from any other acupuncturist I've visited. Plus, he really cares about his patients. Cannot recommend Uzi strongly enough

Dr. Uzi is literally a Godsend. I had a herniated disc in my lower back that completely debilitated me, I was essentially bed bound for 3 months. I tried everything, chiropractor, Physical Therapy, Steriod injections- all of which did not help and in some cases made it worse. I was in a constant state of sciatica/nerve pain/had an antalgic lean in which I spoke with a neurosurgeon and they said I had to get a microdiscetomy. I scheduled it in hopes that i would be better by my surgery date. By fate, I came across SD Sports Acupuncture and a case study that Dr. Uzi wrote about. The case was very similar to mine, so I decided to give it a shot. I walked into Dr. Uzi’s office barely able to walk and used a walker at the age of 38 years old. I was very depressed and in pain, crying because I also had just had a baby and was unable to care for him due to my condition. Dr. Uzi was the kindest, most compassionate, comforting Dr. While he let me know he couldn’t change the mechanics, he could Absolutely help with the tissue and muscle Inflammation. He told me to stay strong and positive, and assured me I would get through this and back to my life again. It was what I needed to hear. Sure enough, after around 5 treatments, I started feeling better. I kept getting better with every treatment and I was walking again. I was able to carry my infant and care for him, something I felt I was never going to do again painless. I was able to avoid back surgery thanks to Dr. Uzi and his expertise. I cannot thank him enough for helping me through such a tough time. I have recommended Dr. Uzi to everyone I know and will continue to go to him for maintenance.

Dr. Davis is a miracle worker! Following five months of sciatic nerve pain and various forms of treatment, including a month of physical therapy with no success the first treatment with Sean relieved most of the pain and a couple more completely cured me. I keep waiting for my foot pain to come back, but so far… I feel great!! I went to see Sean for an acupuncture because my foot has been hurting for months. He listened to me and made a plan. When I first came to San Diego Sports Acupuncture, I was unable to walk having been bed bound for about 3.5 months with herniated discs and spinach stenosis. After my first two sessions, there was an immediate improvement. Now I am walking again normally and the pain has completely disappeared! Sean is amazing. I highly recommend him and I cannot say enough good things about him. The whole experience has been incredible. If not for Sean, I would have had to have surgery, because nothing else helped.

Highly Recommend! You will see a lot of improvement. Place very clean Doctor is very kind I used to have chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain. Couldn't sleep, relaxed always stressed. Bad digestion bloating. But thanks to Doctor Uzi I feel a lot better. Felt rejuvenated and the most relax I ever had in my life. He is a very welcoming, kind person who actually genuinely cares about his clients and wants to help people feel better. He is very professional and the place is very clean. The best Acunpunture place there is in San Diego. There's points to help with sleep, stress, digestion, headaches ect. He won't put any needles anywhere you don't want them. He offers towels/ blanket to cover yourself and water in the beginning. The table/bed warms up to te level you want. There's a heat lamp if you want it. Relaxing music if you want it. And there's a button in your hand if you need to call him.

I walked into Dr. Uzi’s office with a pain level of 9/10 and by my last appointment, which there were only 2, I left with a pain level of 1/10. I had back surgery 2 years ago and couple weeks I lifted my niece up out of her hair chair and felt my back go out and thought I reherniated back cause I had immediate nerve pain down my leg. Found Dr. Uzi through a friend and left his office after the first visit feeling 90% better. He was so nice and knew exactly where my pain was. So glad I found him and referred my mom and dad to him as well.

I have been dealing with neck pain for such a long time. I booked an appointment with Dr. Uzi after a friends recommendation. This was my first experience with Acupuncture and i am amazed. I have not felt relief in my neck and shoulders like this is so long. Its honestly amazing. Dr. Uzi was so friendly, he listened, and he took great care. I am so glad this was my first experience with acupuncture. I will 100% be going back.

Dr. Chen took me from considering $3000 spinal decompression treatment or at least an epidural to feeling essentially as close to 100% as I ever have. His assessment was very thorough and treatment moved at a pace I was comfortable with. Highly recommend those with back problems to give his practice a shot before jumping into other treatments. I felt better from the very first visit.

I came in to see Uzi while dealing with some very difficult tendonitis in my forearms. Uzi is an amazing person and always went above and beyond to help with the tendonitis, as well as other nagging issues like tight muscles and that were causing discomfort at the time. The work he did helped enormously to get me back to the activities I enjoy in my life. Uzi is also an incredibly kind and caring person, cannot recommend enough.

Uzi Chen is an experienced practitioner. He is very thorough, listens well, is compassionate, explains his procedure in detail, and constantly elicits feedback from the patient during treatment. He is particularly adept at putting you at ease. He produced great results for me. I highly recommend him, whether you are new to acupuncture or a returning patient.

Sean is amazing! I decided to give accupuncture a try after finding no relief for my back pain elsewhere. After 4 sessions I was mostly pain free. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have a herniated disc in my lower back, with sciatica. I would develop significant pain in my right buttock and right upper leg with walking. It got to the point where I had to stop walking and rest after a couple of blocks. After two rounds of physical therapy and several chiropractor visits, there was only a little improvement. I had a trip to Canada planned and was afraid that I would not be able to do much walking. I decided to try some acupuncture about 3 weeks before the trip. Luckily, I found Dr. Uzi Chen. After twice weekly sessions for about 3 weeks, I was able to walk at least 3 miles at a time, and up to a few times a day. It was amazing, and my trip to Canada was great. I can't promise the same results for you, but give Dr. Chen a chance. He really listens to you as you explain your symptoms, does a good examination, and individualizes your treatment. I highly recommend him.
